Personal profile of Mike and June Pennington owners of “The Antique Market”, “The Linen Room”, “Old England Tours”, “World Wide Pack and Ship”, ”Love 2 Travel” all based in St Augustine, Florida. “Ingleside Village Antique Centre”. based in Macon, Georgia.
ABT. “Antique Buying Tours” Co. Ltd. based in England.

June and I were both born, raised and educated on antiques in England.
In 1994 we moved, along with our three youngest children, across the Atlantic to live and work in St Augustine Florida.
From humble beginnings in Downtown St Augustine with our first shop called “The Antique Market” we quickly built a good reputation for supplying quality merchandise to both the trade and private buyers. Requiring larger premises we located a run down 1930’s feed and general store in serious need of some TLC. We refurbished and moved into our current store on State Road 16, St Augustine in 1998, offering a greater selection of quality antiques and yard art from around England and Europe. In 2001 we opened a second outlet called “The Antique Market Linen Room” located in the old Alcazar Hotel swimming pool in Downtown St Augustine, specializing in antique linens, fine English porcelain and china and children’s antique memorabilia. During this period I was elected to President of the Antique Dealers Association of St Augustine (ADASTA) and June to Secretary.
In 2002 we turned our attention to Macon, in the Heart of Georgia, and opened a small but exclusive antique Mall called “Ingleside Village Antique Centre”.
With 15 selected antique dealers Ingleside Village Antique Centre offers a wide range of American, English and European antiques, including a decorators and designers second floor.
During the period we were building our reputation of supplying quality merchandise throughout Florida and Georgia from our three trade and retail locations, we had started to take antique dealers and collectors to England on our antique buying tours.

In 1995 we successfully accompanied our first antiquing group to England and “Old England Tours” was born. It has over the past ten years become a very unique shopping experience.
June and myself combined or individually accompany each tour, trying to share our vast accumulated knowledge on English antiques and the beautiful towns, villages and countryside where we both grew up. The philosophy and success of “Old England Tours” has always been to keep the groups small and to include within the package a personal service directly from ourselves, first class accommodation with meals provided, comfortable transportation driven by June or myself, with professional assistance and special treatment from the English dealers when shopping for your antiques. Visiting the many warehouses, shops and centers discovered by ourselves over the many years of working in the antique business.
Our visit takes us to the largest international Antiques Fair in Europe at Newark-on-Trent where, for your comfort and convenience, we have our own tented accommodation, add that to the fine detailed finishing touches of providing boxes, bubble wrap, tape and packing materials for smalls and our collection, packing and container shipping services (with 100 cubic feet of merchandise shipped to St Augustine free of charge).
Antique shopping on a small or large scale could not be easier or more fun.

Our new venture, programmed to start in the fall of 2006, will be designed to attract antique dealers and collectors from England and Europe to shop in the Southern States of America, managed from our English based sister company ABT ( Antique Buying Tours Co .Ltd.)
Our first tour on offer will commence in Atlanta move through Macon to Savannah and conclude with a visit to the Ancient City of St Augustine, Florida, antiquing along the way.
February 2007 will start our second tour, again commencing in Atlanta, Georgia on to Charlotte North Carolina, Charleston South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia before returning back to start the antiquing season in England and Europe.
